Bio: Paras is a visual artist based out of New Delhi. He holds a BFA (photography) from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. In practice, his works are informed directly by his surroundings. The environment of Canada pointed towards themes of migration, memory, and self-identity, which are examined in his work through photography, video projection, picture books, and image objects.

More recently, he has moved back to New Delhi. Newer works are influenced by the time and distance away from his native place. This influence facilitates an objective way of making and playing with the image in the creation process. The new method involves listening to stories and observing his surroundings rather than exploring with a camera in the first place. The construction of images takes place later in the studio through archival and re-staged images, and elaborate still life(s) and sets constructed from prints. His artworks often invite the viewer to question the materiality in photography through images that depict scenarios that we experience everyday as Indians.
